How we got here

Proverbial 31 Tees is a Christian apparel brand created by Quiana Bruce, a Detroit native living in Atlanta.

Established in 2021, Proverbial 31 Tees was born after years of dreaming about owning a fashion boutique. Quiana has always loved accessories and shopping at local boutiques, where she can find unique items no one else has (something many of her girlfriends would benefit from when they used to raid her closet for special events). Between her passion for fashion and love of local shopping, Quiana dreamed of one day owning her own shop. 

Fast forward some years and Quiana put her boutique dream on hold while working full-time and building a life in Detroit. In 2015, Quiana and her daughter moved to Atlanta. A few more years went by working full-time, starting a real estate business, and helping her daughter through school, but the passion for business was still there. 

Living in Atlanta, Quiana was exposed to an entrepreneurial network she didn’t see in Detroit, which re-awakened her desire to start her company. She began researching how to start a business, but the timing wasn’t quite right, so she set her research aside and waited for the God-moment she knew would come.

That moment came in 2021, when Quiana was led to create a Christian apparel company and Proverbial 31 Tees came to be.
